Lithuania now has about 38 thousand active reserve soldiers and about 80 thousand trained reserve soldiers.
98 deputies voted for the adoption of the amendment, none voted against, and 1 abstained.
Now a bill with a similar initiative will be discussed in committees of the Seimas of Lithuania. The amendments are proposed to come into force on July 1, 2024.
