Lipsk residents want to set a Russian record for mass hardening. Residents of the region will become participants in the all-Russian action “Tempered Russia – Strong Country”.
The event is scheduled for December 23 throughout the country. On this day, all associations and clubs of winter swimming, hardening and winter swimming will unite in the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle and the popularization of winter swimming and hardening. Russians, including residents of the Lipetsk region, will hold a flash mob of mass dousing with cold water, will plunge into the water of oceans, seas, rivers and other natural bodies of water, and will organize winter swimming competitions.
“Every year, more than 70 regions of the country, about 170 federations, clubs and organizations with a total coverage of more than 150 thousand people participate in the all-Russian campaign “Tempered Russia – Strong Country”,” commented the government of the Lipetsk region.
Before swimming in the icy water, Lipsk residents will take part in a dance flash mob.
The action in Lipetsk will begin at 9:00 on the winter beach on Karl Marx Street, 30 (the building of the former Fregat restaurant). Everyone is invited to participate in order to set a Russian record for mass hardening.
The head of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, noted that the Lipetsk winter swimming club is actively working to popularize winter swimming in the region.
The local walrus club is participating in the “Tempered Russia – Strong Country” campaign for the fourth time.
