Lipetsk rowers won 6 medals in indoor rowing competitions. The Russian Cup and the All-Russian competition “Peter the Great Cup” in rowing took place in the regional center.
At the Molodezhny Sports Palace, 450 representatives from 20 regions of Russia competed in the disciplines of indoor rowing and lightweight indoor rowing.
Ekaterina Sevostyanova took gold at a distance of 2000 meters among women. Alexey Kiyashko won silver in the men’s lightweight category.
Anastasia Zavgorodnaya also won the gold medal in the 1000 meters among girls under 15 years old, and Ekaterina Pogonina earned bronze.
Olga Inozemtseva (as part of the “Fabulous Five” team) received silver in the women’s 5×500 meter relay, and Victoria Luganskaya (as part of the “Golden Girls” team) received bronze.
