Lipetsk residents received 25 medals at the Central Federal District swimming championship. The Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Lipetsk Region reported on the success of Lipetsk residents.
On the last day of the Central Federal District Swimming Championship, which took place from March 19 to 27 in Obninsk, many athletes distinguished themselves. Thus, Varvara Kharchenko became the silver medalist of the Central Federal District swimming championship. She took second place in the 1500-meter freestyle. Also in her collection of awards, Varvara also has the gold of the Central Federal District championship at the same distance.

Over 4 days of competition, the Lipetsk team won 25 medals (11 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze) and for the first time in the last 4 years earned 3rd overall team place at the Central Federal District championship.
Based on the results of the competition, Timur Aksenov fulfilled the master of sports standard at a distance of 800 m freestyle.
Lipetsk swimmers are trained by Lidia Vlasevskaya, Liana Shishkina, Elena Kaimonova, Elena Krapivina, Oksana Kravchuk, Nikolai Vostrikov, Alexander Kotovskov and Alexander Yatskov.
