The Lipsk residents became prize-winners of the IX All-Russian Spartakiad in Deaf Sports. It took place in the city of Salavat in Bashkortostan.
The event was a four-day event, with participants competing for victory in various sports from October 9 to 12.
6 disciplines of deaf sports were presented – basketball, mountain biking, athletics, table tennis, swimming and orienteering. Participants included representatives from 31 regions of Russia.
Pupils of the State Budgetary Educational Institution “Sports-Adaptive School of Paralympic Reserve” competed from the Lipetsk region in the discipline of swimming.
According to the results of the Olympics, Danil Shurygin received bronze in the 50-meter backstroke. Yana Kazmina won silver in the 100 backstroke.
The Lipetsk team is coached by Sergei Kabanov.
