The championship and championship of the Central Federal District in belt wrestling took place from March 15 to 17 in the Voronezh region in the city of Boguchar. The competition brought together 180 wrestlers from 8 regions of Russia.

Aziz Mulloev was among the Lipetsk winners in the +100 kg weight category. Tigran Marukyan took silver in the 100 kg weight category. In the championship, gold was awarded to Ekaterina Zakharova (w/c 66 kg), Viktor Lukinskikh (w/c 62 kg), Dmitry Mochalin (w/c 68 kg), Maxim Krisanov (w/c 82 kg) and Nikita Vyunov (w/c 90 kg). Nadezhda Andreeva (w/c 58 kg) and Marat Radzhabov (100 kg) received silver. Evgeniy Snegur (w/c 75 kg) earned bronze.

The wrestlers with the best results in the competition will defend the honor of the region at the Russian Cup, which will take place on March 23 and 24 in Ryazan.

The head of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, emphasized that 10 medals is a worthy result.

“I would like to congratulate the athletes, their coaches and the entire regional federation. We wish you good luck in Russia,” said the head of the region.
