Lipchan residents won bronze in interregional fencing competitions. Third place was taken by students from secondary school No. 34 “Global” in the city of Lipetsk.
The sports event “Don Autumn” among boys under 12 years old took place in Rostov-on-Don. The team consisted of students from the sports class – 3 “B”, whose profile was fencing.
According to the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Lipetsk Region, among the participants were fencers from the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Republic of Tatarstan, LPR, Krasnodar Territory, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Moscow and Rostov regions.
The head of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, emphasized that this victory was especially significant, because it was won by children not from a sports school, but from a secondary school where the fencing section operates.
“We are undoubtedly proud of the achievement and consider this confirmation that serious sports associations can operate at schools. Sports clubs and federations can take this into account,” stated the head of the region.
