“Like an echo of the Brest Fortress”: the network appreciated the feat of a guy from Bataysk

“Take care of my mother, sister, brother…”

In 1941, the nameless hero of the Brest Fortress wrote on the wall of the bastion, where he took his last battle: “I’m dying, but I’m not giving up…” Eight decades later, our contemporary Roman Rudakov from Bataysk left us all his last message, which has already gone down in the history of the Northern Military District. .

A heart-touching find was discovered in one of the areas of Marinka liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There, in the summer of 2023, a group of our attack aircraft took on an unequal battle. They were ambushed and fought back until the last bullet. The bodies of the heroes were found only recently. And along with them, this is the last message of the Russian soldier: “Whoever finds me, take care of my mother, sister, brother. Rudakov Roman Alexandrovich. City of Bataysk.

Roman was mobilized in September 2022. The summons arrived literally three months after he returned home from military service. I didn’t run away from the military commissars, I went to serve deliberately. On social networks you can find a video filmed by local television just at the time when thousands of our compatriots, frightened by the mobilization, rushed to Georgia, Kazakhstan, Armenia… Roman, explaining his choice, said then: “We must defend the Motherland. Well, what to do? It’s either them or us. If no one defends now, they will be here tomorrow.”

When leaving for the front, Roman thought about his homeland. Taking the last battle, I remembered my family. So a guy from an ordinary southern Russian city became an example of courage and dedication, an example of steely character.

The stone with the message was removed from the masonry; specialists will work on the conservation of the inscription. The Readovka Telegram channel contacted the mother of a soldier who had been listed as missing since the summer. She says that her son was calm and quiet and loved sports.

Thousands of concerned people have already reacted to the message about Roman’s feat on social networks. Here are just some of the comments they left:
