Life expectancy increased in Russia in 2022

In 2022, life expectancy increased to 72.6 years, said Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova. At the end of 2022, this figure was expected to be 72.4 years.
“Infant mortality has decreased, more than 1,600 primary care facilities have been created, 1.4 million operations of high-tech medical care have been performed,” Ms. Golikova quotes her secretariat as saying after a meeting on the Healthcare national project (quoted from TASS).
Life expectancy in 2021 amounted to 70.6 years old, head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko at the end of 2022 saidthat life expectancy at the end of the year will be 72.4 years. Prior to this, Mr. Murashko said that by the end of 2022, life expectancy can grow up to 71.8 years.
