The Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow on Tuesday sentenced former investigator for especially important cases of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Svetlana Fesinets. She was accused of taking a bribe from an antiques collector.
As MK once reported, Fesinets was detained in the fall of 2021 at the request of an icon collector. He admitted that he wrote a statement to the police about the theft of a collection worth 100 million rubles from him. The case ended up with a female lawyer. She promised that she would solve the crime if she received an appropriate reward – 2.5 million rubles. The deal went through, but then the elderly collector of rarities wrote a confession. By the way, later it turned out that the young wife of the collector took the icons, and there is no corpus delicti in the case.
Interestingly, shortly before the arrest, a criminal case was initiated on the fact of mining a BMW-X6 car belonging to Fesinets. An F-1 grenade was found under the windshield. True, it later turned out that the grenade was a toy, and the lieutenant colonel herself asked her friend to plant it in order to appear before her superiors as a victim.
The court sentenced Fesinets to 8.5 years in prison.
