On October 24, at the age of 87, Lydia Orlova, a writer, journalist and fashion historian, died. Orlova is considered one of the founders of fashion journalism in Russia; she began her career in the USSR. Later she founded her own publication, Moscow Style (1991-1995). At first it was published as a newspaper, and later reformatted into a full-fledged glossy magazine “Collection-M”, where Orlova was the chief editor.
