Yaroslav Nilov, deputy head of the LDPR faction in the State Duma, said on his Telegram channel that the Liberal Democratic Party had prepared a bill, according to which it is proposed to mitigate the punishment for the lack of documents for a car.
According to him, in the event that the driver does not have documents for the car, then the car is subject to detention when it is listed as stolen.
“In itself, the lack of documents for the car from the driver, if any, does not affect road safety in any way,” the explanatory note says.
It is clarified that the only case of detention of a car, in the absence of documents for the car from the driver, is the fact that this vehicle is listed as stolen.
