LG company presented Gram Fold is the brand’s first laptop with a flexible screen, which will be available only in South Korea.
The new product has a 17-inch OLED screen with a resolution of QXGA+ (2560×1920 pixels), which when folded turns into a laptop with a 12-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1280 pixels – the second half of the screen transforms into a touch keyboard. The Gram Fold also includes a wireless physical keyboard, and the device also supports stylus control.
The Gram Fold is powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i5 processor paired with 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 72Whr battery. USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 connectors, 1.5 W speakers with Dolby Atmos technology are announced. The new product runs on the Windows 11 operating system.
Sales of LG Gram Fold in South Korea will begin on October 4. The cost of a laptop with a flexible screen will be 4.9 million won (about $3.7 thousand). The release date for the device in other markets has not been announced.
