Let’s call it “fun”

Viewers appreciating the dignity of the TV series “Manly”, which was released in the middle of last month, and the new web series “Movie Type”, already in the top 10 according to the magazine for men GQ, could not but pay attention to the game of the young and spectacular actress Evgenia Sinitskaya. The more curious her fans will be to find out that the adventures of the heroine in the “Type of Cinema” project are written off from Evgenia herself.

— Evgenia, it is always interesting to get into a project at the initial stages, and creating your own is just a dream. How did your movie type series start?

– From me. On auditions and filming in student projects, some stories constantly happened to me. Sometimes funny, sometimes unpleasant to tears – the only thing left to laugh at was their own stupidity. After each such… Forgive me for the pause, but there is not a single decent phrase in my head. Let’s call it a funny case. So, after each such funny incident, I came to my friend, the director Alena Mikhailova, and we washed the bones of would-be filmmakers, on the shooting of which I managed to get. Once she could not stand it and, once again evaluating my story with something like “well, this is a fierce king, Zhen,” she offered to make a series about my misadventures in the cinema. Thus, our “Type of cinema” was born.

– In this project, you are both the author of the idea and the screenwriter. Does it contain many real stories from your life?

– When our friends or acquaintances watch the project, every now and then they say the same phrase: “Well, this definitely couldn’t happen!” It could, believe me. All stories are real, none are fictional. We recently premiered the second season, and I have five more seasons of stories.

We worked on the script together with Alena. I came to her, we made tea, opened a huge bag of (the most ridiculous) seeds and began to “disperse” the story: how it was, who said what, who can be tried for this or that role … When I left, Alena consolidated all our ideas into the script. At that time we worked almost around the clock, but it brought us great pleasure. I don’t remember ever laughing so much.

— How many episodes did you come up with before you realized that the series was definitely going to be?

– We understood right away and didn’t even worry when various “caring” people told us that the series about acting kitchen would be of interest only to actors. “According to your logic, a film about firefighters will be of interest only to firefighters, and about doctors only to doctors,” we retorted.

— What is special about filming a comedy series?

– There is such a cinematic sign: if everyone laughs on the set of a comedy, the film will not be funny. Our case is the very exception to the rule. As for me, the peculiarity of filming a comedy genre is to constantly laugh at yourself. When an author makes fun of others – “look how stupid they are, ha ha ha” – it’s not funny. Comedy should come from oneself, to oneself and through oneself, only then it works.

— Everyone knows that many funny moments remain behind the scenes … Is that so?

– Most often, such situations occur during romantic scenes – these are the most uncomfortable conditions for each participant in the filming process. You are shy, clamped like a first-grader, because the number of all sorts of joints per square meter is as high as possible. Once our sound engineer was so staring at our kiss with a partner during a scene that he dropped a boom on my head – such a big microphone on a fishing rod.

— What is closer to you: to play in a full meter or serials?

— I am a happy fan and a workaholic who is head over heels in love with my profession. On the set, my mood always rises, everything brightens, gets warmer. It is important for an actor to be in demand, busy. And it’s a series or a full meter – it’s not so important. The main thing is a good script.

— Do you like watching movies with your participation on TV? Or is it no longer a vacation, but an analysis of your acting skills?

– What a rest! You sit and swear like a shoemaker, looking at your episodes. All your cockroaches immediately crawl out to the fore: so, Evgenia Mikhailovna, here you lied, there you have a strand of hair sticking out, but no one told you about it, it should have been played differently. The viewer will probably read it and say: “Why are you so strict?” The actors wink knowingly: “Classic!”

— So your main critic is yourself?

– Yes, all the laurels are for me. No one can outdo me in this. When I read or hear criticism addressed to me from other people, especially strangers, I smile with my widest smile and think to myself: “Oh, my good ones, if you only knew …”
