Leonid Reiman’s company will release an anti-spy smartphone

The Saransk plant “Rutek”, owned by the structures of the former Minister of Communications of Russia Leonid Reiman, began production of the anti-spyware protected smartphone “R-fon” on the Rosa Mobile operating system. A representative of the developer of the STC IT Rosa, whose owner is also a former official, told Vedomosti about this. A representative of Rutek confirmed the information to Vedomosti.

STC “IT Rosa” announced the release of the first smartphone on its OS back in the summer. Company CEO Oleg Karpitsky told RBC about plans to present the first smartphone on Rosa Mobile in the fall of 2023. In August 2023, Forbes reported that the device would be produced in Hong Kong: the publication discovered an entry in the EEC register allowing the import of products into the territory of the EAEU. The company has declared a smartphone under the Ruteq brand in several models, manufactured by Bopel Mobile Technology Co Limited of Hong Kong.
