The Safe Internet League advocates restricting the activities of Twitch and Trovo streaming platforms in Russia. This was announced by the head of the organization Ekaterina Mizulina during the national forum “Health and Safety of Children” in Moscow.
According to Mizulina, these platforms pose a threat to the life and health of children, as they often become platforms for advertising drug stores.
“We invite the state to think about limiting the operation of these platforms on the territory of our country,” she said (quote according to TASS).
Mizulina also believes that the state should “put under tight control” the video game industry, including in-game chats and servers. According to the head of the Safe Internet League, many children become victims of crime because of intruders in such chats.
Earlier, the initiative to ban a number of video games was voiced in the State Duma. November 11 First Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on Education Yana Lantratova as amendments to the law on LGBT propaganda suggested to limit in Russia computer games that promote violence, cruelty, profanity, as well as containing information about the methods of manufacturing drugs and methods of committing suicide.
