The mandate of the State Duma deputy, which Vasily Vlasov lost ahead of schedule, will be transferred to the State Duma deputy of the VI and VII convocations Vasilina Kulieva. This was announced by the chairman of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky.

“For the mandate of Vasily Vlasov, who was deprived of parliamentary powers, I propose former State Duma deputy Vasilina Kulieva, who showed unique results in the last elections in September,” he said (quote according to TASS).

Kulieva is 41 years old. She was a deputy of the VI convocation in 2011-2012, and in 2016 she became a deputy of the State Duma of the VII convocation. In 2021, Kulieva ran for the State Duma in a new convocation, but did not pass.

The State Duma stripped Vlasov of his powers on November 1. At the same time, Vadim Belousov (“A Just Russia – For Truth”) also lost his deputy mandate, against whom a criminal case was initiated under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale). Belousov is wanted. The last time he voted in the Duma was at plenary sessions on June 14, 2022. In August 2022, Belousov was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of 500 million rubles, and in May of this year the sentence came into force. The consideration of issues regarding the deprivation of mandates took place closed to journalists.

One of the deputies from the plenary session told Vedomosti reports that Belousov has never been to the State Duma in almost two years. Head of the Commission on Regulations Viktor Pinsky previously reportedthat Vlasov, who is a member of this commission, missed more than 60% of the commission’s meetings without good reason, and during the 8th convocation he was twice absent from its meetings for more than 40 days in a row.
