Head of the Liberal Democratic Party Leonid Slutsky and Victor Bout, released from the American colony, opened an office of the Chechen branch of the party in Grozny. Formerly Victor Bout participated in the opening of the LDPR branch in the Luhansk People’s Republic. He joined the party on December 12, 2022, four days after he was traded for American basketball player Brittney Griner and released from prison in the United States. In 2012, he was sentenced by US authorities to 25 years in prison for supporting terrorism and illegal arms trafficking.
