Member of the Russian Bar Association Maria Spiridonova, in an interview with the Prime agency, said that Russians are entitled to a tax refund in the amount of 650 thousand rubles once in a lifetime.
According to her, during the calendar year after the purchase, construction of real estate, sale of real estate or mortgage repayment, you can get a property tax deduction.
“To obtain it, you should contact your employer and the tax authority. You must submit a tax return on Form 3-NFL. At the same time, the unused balance of the deduction can be transferred,” Spiridonova noted.
She clarified that for the purchase of housing, you can get a maximum of 260 thousand rubles, and when making a deduction for interest on a mortgage – up to 390 thousand rubles.
