Law enforcement officers asked people who had gathered near the Bolshoi Theater to disperse to receive bracelets that would give them the right to purchase a ticket to the New Year’s ballet “The Nutcracker,” RT reports.
Law enforcement officers reported that the bracelets had run out and asked those present to disperse. Some began to leave, many expressed outrage.
Huge queues have been gathering outside the Bolshoi Theater throughout the last week before the start of sales. Earlier, the Bolshoi Theater published a special schedule for the sale of tickets for “The Nutcracker” on its official website due to increased demand. According to it, tickets for performances on December 29-31 are sold at the box office on November 11 and 12, and for January performances – on November 18 and 19.
The Nutcracker ballet at the Bolshoi Theater before the New Year has become a tradition. The nominal cost of tickets ranges from 1,500 to 20,000 thousand rubles, but resellers offer them at prices that are 10 times higher.
