Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov during the East Asia Summit (EAS) spoke about the risks of militarization of the Asia-Pacific region (APR) in connection with the penetration of NATO forces. This was stated on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry in a message about Lavrov’s participation in the summit.
The Minister noted that special attention should be paid to the risks of militarization of East Asia after the penetration of the infrastructure of the North Atlantic Alliance into this region “based on block mechanisms of network deterrence created by the West, promoting the confrontational project AUKUS”, which provides for the deployment of a military-strategic complex with a nuclear component on the territory.
