Speculation about stationing F-16 aircraft destined for Ukraine at air bases in NATO countries is “dangerous.” This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday, December 18.
According to him, it turned out that there are no airfields in Ukraine that would be suitable for such aircraft – there are no equipped runways and equipment capable of servicing American fighters after flights.
“There is talk that, probably, this can be done on the territory of NATO countries neighboring Ukraine. This is dangerous thinking,” Lavrov said in an interview with the “Big Game” program on Channel One.
Earlier it was reported that The F-16’s lower air intake is unprotected, allowing the use of damaged and makeshift runways.
