Lavrov: The United States committed gross violations in issuing visas to Russian diplomats

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during his working visit to Venezuela, said that the US authorities are abusing their status as the host country of the UN headquarters.
According to Lavrov, when issuing visas for participation in the UN Security Council, the United States decided not to issue visas to some members of the Russian delegation, and journalists were simply refused.
“We were given visas, but, as always, it was done with gross abuse … They stumbled for a long time, then they issued visas, but not for the entire delegation, some of our employees were not among this list. Well, as you said, journalists were not issued at all,” the Russian minister said.
