Lavrov said about the slurred signals of Washington

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Lavrov, said that Moscow had recorded fragmentary signals from the US administration and President Joseph Biden personally about the resumption of dialogue on the reduction of strategic offensive arms (START).
“But what is behind them is not yet clear,” the diplomat stressed.
The START treaty between Russia and the United States was signed in 2010. His actions are calculated until 2026. So far, there have been no requests from Washington to resume negotiations on the treaty.
At the beginning of September it became knownthat the United States intends to resume inspections of each other’s nuclear weapons before starting contacts on START. The decision to terminate them was made in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
