Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a conversation with reporters in Minsk, said that Moscow continues to check the facts in connection with the recent tests that the United States conducted at the Nevada nuclear test site, and so far no violations of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) have been identified.
According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, the Russian side continues to investigate the facts surrounding the tests conducted by the United States. Lavrov pointed out that, to date, Russia has not discovered anything that would indicate a violation of the CTBT by the United States.
On October 18, the US Department of Energy announced an underground chemical explosion in Nevada, aimed at improving the United States’ ability to detect low-yield nuclear explosions around the world.
