Lavrov arrived in New York to participate in the UN General Assembly

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in New York to attend the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the flight from Moscow took 12 hours.
High-level events will be held during the week – September 20-26 – in New York, at the UN headquarters. Lavrov heads the delegation of the Russian Federation.
On the eve of Lavrov said that the UN General Assembly will definitely sound harsh assessments of certain actions of various states. The head of Russian diplomacy stressed at a meeting with accredited heads of diplomatic missions in Moscow that the UN was created “not only for polemical exercises, but also in order to fulfill the requirements of its Charter.”
