Pushkov: Russian coal follows oil - to the southeast

Member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Alexei Pushkov in his Telegram channel commented growth of coal export from Russia to China.

According to him, at the present time there is a change in world resource flows - following geopolitics.

"Russian coal follows oil. The direction is South and Southeast. And not only to China. 18.5% of the oil that India consumes comes from Russia," Pushkov wrote.

Earlier, the Banks channel reported that coal exports from Russia to China reached a five-year high in August 2022, amounting to 8.542 million tons, due to the fact that Russian companies began to redirect coal to the east, after the decision of the EU countries to abandon Russian energy sources.
