On the night of October 4 in Moscow, the temperature at the VDNKh base weather station did not drop below 12.9°C. This night was the warmest in the last 57 years, leading specialist at the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets told TASS. He clarified that such temperature indicators correspond to the summer climate norm.
“In Tushino it was plus 11.9, in the center of Moscow, in Balchug – plus 13.2. Such warmth in the dark, as happened today at VDNKh, was 57 years ago. October 4, 2023 is the second warmest day in the entire history of regular meteorological measurements, second only to the record year of 1966,” said Mr. Tishkovets.
By forecast According to the hydrometeorological center, in the capital it will be 18–20°C (in the Moscow region – 15–20°C), rain in places, thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Tomorrow, October 5, in Moscow the temperature will drop to 13–15°C (in the Moscow region – up to 11–16°C), and light rain is also possible.
