On the night of July 7, the daily record for the highest minimum air temperature was updated in Moscow. The previous record was set almost 70 years ago – in 1954, Mikhail Leus, a leading employee of the Phobos weather center, said.
“Last night in Moscow, the daily record for the highest minimum air temperature was updated. Never before, in the entire history of weather observations, has the night of July 7 been so warm,” wrote Mr. Leus in Telegram-channel. The minimum air temperature at night at the VDNKh meteorological station was 21.8°C, which is 0.7°C warmer than the previous record set in 1954.
According to the forecast hydrometeorological center, in the afternoon on July 7 in Moscow it will be 26–28 ° С, cloudy, rain is possible. It is expected that on July 8 the temperature in the capital will drop to 22–24°C, with intermittent rain.
