Olympic high jump champion Maria Lasitskene won the gold medal at the 2022 Russian Athletics Championships in Cheboksary on Wednesday with a score of 2.00 meters.
She also tried to take a height of 2.04 m, but all three of her attempts were unsuccessful. Thus, Lasitskene became the six-time champion of Russia. In addition to the gold medal of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, she became the world champion three times.
The second place of the championship of the Russian Federation was taken by Natalya Spiridonova, the third – by Maria Kochanova. The result of each of them is 1.91 m, while Spiridonova used fewer attempts.
The 2022 Russian Athletics Championship takes place from August 2 to 5 in the capital of the Chuvash Republic, the city of Cheboksary.
