As part of the Polar Olympics in Murmashy, orienteering competitions were held. About 100 athletes took part in them.
On Monday, March 13, the press service of the government of the Murmansk region reported on the results of orienteering competitions held in Murmashy as part of the 88th traditional Northern Holiday and the 63rd Northern Students’ Holiday.
Thus, about 100 young sports fans and experienced orienteers took part in the event. The races were held in two disciplines: “Cross-country skiing – classic” and “Cross-country skiing – sprint”.
The winners in the “classic” were Anastasia Rozhkova, Marina Drozdovich, Vladislav Khlopin, Victoria Surkova, Dmitry Timchenko, Valeria Kryuchkova, Roman Shabalin and Ivan Nikolichev.
Daniil Shlyakhtov, Valeria Kryuchkova, Anastasia Rozhkova, Roman Chernov, Vladislav Khlopin, Alexei Brovin, Marina Drozdovich and Elizaveta Mitrofanova finished in the sprint with the best results.
