Raymond always avoided increased attention to himself. On his birthday, Pauls accepted congratulations from relatives and colleagues. True, many stars, for whom the composer wrote the main hits in his career, ignored Raymond’s holiday. For example, Laima Vaikule, as MK learned, didn’t even call him.

“I, of course, congratulated Raymond,” Ilya Reznik, who composed dozens of hits in tandem with Pauls, told MK. “He was happy about my call. I wished him many years of joy and never stop creating. He thanked me. Raymond is now in a philosophical mood – he thinks a lot. But he doesn’t stop working – this is good news. I received an amazing CD from him with his new music and amazing orchestral arrangements. The main thing is that Raymond does not lose strength, spiritual and physical. Trying to hold on. – His close and dear people are nearby: his daughter, his granddaughter. They are his main support and support in life. Raymond always loved his family very much. He was never interested in parties or parties. Only at home, with his family, did he feel like a truly happy person. On his birthday, his family was with him. Many people said very kind words, including Nikolai Gnatyuk. He was upset that he couldn’t get through to Raymond right away. Kolenka, who now lives the life of a churchgoer, is eternally grateful for everything that Raymond has done in his life. He thinks we are geniuses. From the outside, apparently, it’s clearer. His song about the Drummer is still alive, like many, many creations of my favorite co-author.
