La Sexta: Explosive letter found at US embassy in Madrid

A letter containing an explosive device was found at the US Embassy in Spain. About it informs TV channel La Sexta, citing sources in the police.
According to the channel, the area where the diplomatic mission is located is cordoned off. The police act in accordance with the anti-terrorist protocol. The package was the sixth explosive letter found in Spain in the past two days. According to the police, there is a relationship between the parcels, the TV channel notes.
Explosive device hidden in a letter It worked at the Embassy of Ukraine on November 30. As a result of the explosion, an employee of the diplomatic mission, who opened the parcel, suffered minor injuries.
On the same day, another package of explosives was received by the Instalaza arms company in the Spanish city of Zaragoza. The device was defused by law enforcement officers.
Earlier today it became known about three more identified letters with explosives. Third suspicious parcel was found at the base of the Spanish Air Force in the city of Torrejon de Ardoz, the fourth was received by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. The fifth letter was received by the Ministry of Defense of the country. It was specified that it contained a mechanism that is activated when a person “pulls the fishing line.” The letter was sent from Spain.
Reports of parcels with explosives were commented at the Russian embassy in Madrid. “We condemn any threats and terrorist acts, especially those directed against diplomatic missions,” emphasized in the diplomatic mission.
