La Repubblica: Chubais discharged from Italian hospital

The state of health of the former Special Representative of the President of Russia for Sustainable Development Anatoly Chubais improved, on August 6 he was discharged from the hospital. It was reported by the Italian newspaper La Repubblica. Mr. Chubais was hospitalized in a clinic in the city of Olbia in Sardinia.
At the same time, the newspaper notes that the results of the toxicological analysis of Mr. Chubais are not yet available. However, doctors are sure that he suffered Guillain-Barré syndrome. Now he is heading to Frankfurt am Main, where he will undergo rehabilitation.
Guillain-Barré syndrome is a condition in which the immune system attacks its own peripheral nerves. The syndrome can manifest itself in different ways: numbness or paralysis. The WHO reported that “most people make a full recovery from even the most severe cases of the syndrome.”
On July 31, it became known that Mr. Chubais hospitalized to a European hospital with Guillain-Barré syndrome. In March, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the resignation of Mr. Chubais, then the former special representative left Russia for Europe.
