New consulates general of Kyrgyzstan will appear in St. Petersburg and Kazan, reported on the website of the President of the Republic. The decrees were signed by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
“The documents were signed in order to facilitate the favorable legal stay of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in Russia,” the message says.
The day before, on May 7, the Kyrgyz president arrived in Moscow on an official visit. He will stay in the country until May 9. Today, May 8, Zhaparov met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Russian President named Zhaparov’s visit to Moscow on the eve of Victory Day was a landmark event. At the same time, Putin, at a meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart, noted that the current relations between the two states are on the rise.
Later it became known that Putin accepted Zhaparov’s invitation to visit the republic this year. As specified in the Kremlin, the talks between the leaders of the two countries were held in “an open, friendly and constructive atmosphere inherent in the allied nature of Russian-Kyrgyz relations.” The meeting discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, interaction within the framework of Eurasian integration associations, as well as regional and international problems.
