One of the best football players in the world, striker of the French national team and PSG, Kylian Mbappe, will leave the Parisian team at the end of this season. He himself stated this to PSG President Nasser al-Khelaifi during a personal meeting. True, Mbappe’s new club remains unknown. In any case, there is no exact data yet that it will be Real Madrid, where the Frenchman has been wooed for several years now.

The footballer himself told club president Nasser al-Khelaifi during a personal meeting that Kylian Mbappe would leave PSG at the end of this season. According to news agencies, it was a respectful conversation on both sides. “The terms of departure have not yet been fully agreed,” the AFP source noted, adding that the club and Mbappe will make an official statement “after everything is finalized over the coming months.”

Mbappe’s current contact with PSG ends next summer, so the player will leave the club as a free agent. However, the financial losses that PSG will suffer in this regard will be mitigated by an agreement reached last summer, according to which the player will refuse bonuses of between €60 and €70 million if he leaves.

At the same time, according to other sources, the 25-year-old football player, who is in his prime, has not yet decided where exactly he will go. As you know, for several years the forward was wooed to Real Madrid, but at the moment there is no exact information about his transfer to this particular club.

Let us remind you that Mbappe has been playing for PSG since 2017, having moved there from Monaco, with whom he won gold in the French championship just then. Taking into account yesterday’s meeting of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League with the Spanish team Real Sociedad (2:0), the striker has 243 years in 290 matches played in all tournaments, including 38 in the Champions League. This is a record performance in the history of PSG.

Mbappe will be the third star to leave PSG in recent times. Let us remember that Argentinean Lionel Messi and Brazilian Neymar did the same last year. The strongest attacking trio in modern football represented PSG for two seasons, but the club failed to even reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

In the summer of 2020, at the height of the pandemic, PSG reached the final of the main European Cup, but lost to Bayern. Therefore, if PSG does not win the Champions League this year, Mbappe’s main achievements in the Parisian team will remain five or, most likely, six victories in the French championship. Indeed, at the moment in this tournament the Parisians are leading with a big advantage, 11 points ahead of second-place Nice after 21 rounds.
