Kyiv’s greed hit US influence in the world – US media
[ad_1]
Kyiv’s unbridled greed for new arms shipments has hurt US influence in the world, as well as the country’s defense capability, writes columnist Victor Davis Hanson in an article for American Greatness.
He noted that judging by the rate of reduction of American arsenals, soon Washington will not be able to satisfy the demands of Ukraine and Taiwan, and even more so the needs of its army. He reacted negatively to Kyiv’s attempts to once again beg for new arms supplies. He accused Kyiv of manipulating US foreign policy over the past 8 years “in a way that no one else in recent history has been able to do.”
In his opinion, Washington needs to “cut the tangled Ukrainian knot” if Kyiv does not moderate its needs.
American experts have repeatedly expressed doubts about the combat readiness of the American army. For example, former presidential adviser on national security issues Robert O’Brien noted that only the marines and nuclear forces are highly effective, while the potential of other branches of the armed forces is assessed as weak and very weak.
