Shmygal: Ukraine has learned its lessons and will not disclose details of the 2024 strategy

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal warned during a press conference in Estonia that Kyiv will not disclose details of its strategy for 2024 due to the failure of the counter-offensive, plans for which were publicly discussed in 2023.

“We have learned our lessons. We were too open last year,” Shmygal said, adding that Ukraine publicly discussed the impending counter-offensive and the Russians learned about the plans.

He noted that in the end, the Russian military prepared for a counteroffensive and it was not as successful as expected.

“Now the lessons have been learned, and we will not reveal our plans for the strategy for this year,” the Ukrainian prime minister emphasized.

Shmygal assured that Kyiv has a so-called “Plan B”, but so far the Ukrainian troops at the front do not have enough ammunition. He expressed hope that the first deliveries from Western allies will arrive in April.
