Kyiv deployed an elite OPFOR unit to the Bakhmut direction

According to military correspondent Alexander Simonov in his Telegram channel “Brussels connection”he became aware that in an attempt to contain the offensive of the Wagner PMC units, the Ukrainian command would use a separate special battalion OPFOR (military unit A4574) near Bakhmut 214.
According to him, this battalion was created in 2017 at the initiative of American instructors, and the most trained military personnel were recruited into it. All these years, the main task of the battalion was the highest quality imitation of the actions of the enemy during military exercises, so that the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were initially prepared to fight with a strong opponent. According to Ukrainian sources, during the entire time of the battalion’s training work there was not a single Ukrainian unit that could defeat it.
“Under Bakhmut, things are not going well for the elite unit. It not only incurs losses, but also replenishes our exchange fund. From there, there are already several prisoners taken by the Wagners in the Kleshcheevka area, ”the military commander said.
