The West considers this a “cheap price” for a military confrontation with Russia

In the West, there is more and more new information about the huge losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield. So, the New York Times, referring to Western officials and analysts, calls the figure of losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since February 2022 – more than 150 thousand killed and wounded. Against this background, the statement of Polish President Andrzej Duda in an interview with The Washington Post sounded especially cynical: “Right now, Russian imperialism can be stopped cheaply, because American soldiers do not die.”

That is, 150,000 killed and wounded Ukrainians for Duda is a “cheap” price for the military presence of NATO on the territory of Ukraine and for the fact that a military threat to Russia comes from the territory of Ukraine. Cynical, but honest.

In fact, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are much more than 150 thousand. Thus, a former Pentagon adviser, Colonel Douglas McGregor, estimates the irretrievable losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the NMD at 300-350 thousand people.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, only since June 4, 2023, when the big offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began, the losses of the Ukrainian army have already amounted to more than 43 thousand people.
