Drone shot down in Kaluga region

In the Kaluga region on the night of Saturday, August 12, air defense systems (air defense) worked, a drone was shot down, informed in his Telegram channel, the governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha.
According to him, the drone was shot down in the Dzerzhinsky district. There are no consequences for people and infrastructure, Shapsha added.
On August 10, air defense systems shot down two drones in the Kaluga and Moscow regions, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported. The Russian Ministry of Defense then announced the suppression of the terrorist attack in Kyiv, specifying that two UAVs were eliminated in the sky over the Maloyaroslavsky district of the Kaluga region and over the territory of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. As a result of the suppression of the attack, there were no casualties and no damage.
On the morning of August 7, Shapsha informed about a downed drone in the Ferzikovsky district of the Kaluga region, no one was injured. On August 3, seven drones were destroyed in the region.
Since October 20, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a high alert mode has been operating in the Kaluga Region. Such a regime has been introduced in all subjects of the Central and Southern Federal Districts, with the exception of Sevastopol, Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov Regions. These regions are set to “medium response”.
In December 2022, the use of drones was banned in the Kaluga region. The exception is the drones of state authorities, local governments and a number of other organizations that fulfill the state defense order or ensure the control and functioning of infrastructure facilities.
