Kyiv authorities: there will be no festive events for the New Year

The first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration Nikolai Povoroznik said that no festive events would be held in Kyiv this year, informs telegram channel “Politics of the country”.
According to Povoroznik, in the outgoing year the New Year celebration will be limited to Christmas trees.
Also, the deputy head of the KSCA said that the city authorities allowed New Year’s events to be held in kindergartens. The only condition is the observance of all security measures, taking into account the situation in Kyiv.
On the eve of the deputy head of the Kyiv city administration Volodymyr Bondarenko said that the curfew in the capital of Ukraine on New Year’s Eve would not be canceled. Also, the deputy head of the Kyiv City Council said that the Christmas tree on Sofiyivska Square would not be illuminated during the air raid.
Earlier, a resident of Kiev, Natalya Popovich, published a petition on the website of the City Council, in which she suggested that the authorities not put up a traditional Christmas tree on Sofiyivska Embankment this year under martial law in order to save money on purchase, installation and dismantling.
