Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) “Lancet” and “Orlan” create problems and threaten the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The corresponding statement was made on Tuesday, August 15, by the head of the office of the Ukrainian leader Andriy Yermak.
In his Telegram channel, the official said that he “heard from the military about the problems that Russian UAVs create, in particular, the strike Lancet and reconnaissance Orlan, for our forces.”
Yermak admitted that “this is a threat that we have no right to ignore,” therefore, “he took it into account.”
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu pointed out that, despite all-round assistance from the West, the Ukrainian army is failing to achieve results in the much-touted strategic counter-offensive. Preliminary results of hostilities show that the military resource of Ukraine almost exhausted.
Former CIA officer Larry Johnson, in turn, noted that failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front will lead to the refusal of the West from further arms supplies and the surrender of Kyiv. From the point of view of a specialist, the defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield is being discussed more and more in the United States, which, in turn, discourages the desire to supply the Ukrainian army with weapons.
