An officer of the SOBR “Kmet” of the Kursk department of the Russian Guard became a silver medalist following the results of the departmental championship in hand-to-hand combat.
The competition took place on the basis of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard in Moscow. The tournament was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the MGO Dynamo.
90 athletes from 16 teams of territorial bodies and military units of the Central District competed for medals in 8 weight categories.
Kuryanin took second place in the individual competition in the weight category up to 88 kilograms, the press service of the regional department of the department reported.
The outstanding athletes will form the district’s hand-to-hand combat team, which will represent the team at the troops championship in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
