The Kursk region became one of the first regions where private clinics began to refuse to perform abortions. Currently, four of the six local licensed commercial medical facilities do not perform such procedures. On the eve of the State Duma of the Russian Federation contributed draft amendments to health care legislation that would exclude private clinics from the list of medical organizations that have the right to perform abortions.
