In the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, near the border with Ukraine, a tractor allegedly blew up on unexploded ordnance, informed on Sunday, the governor of the region Roman Starovoit in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the tractor driver was not injured. “This happened 3 km from the border with Ukraine, when a field was being cultivated for winter rapeseed,” Starovoit wrote.

He urged residents to contact 112 if they find unexploded ordnance or an object that looks like an explosive device.

Since the beginning of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, the border points of the region have been repeatedly fired upon, and air defense systems have shot down several Ukrainian drones. As a result, on April 11, the authorities of the Kursk region introduced a yellow terrorist alert level, which has been constantly extended since then.

Earlier this week, the FSB reported that Ukrainian saboteurs three times in August committed undermining the pillars of the Kursk nuclear power plant. On Saturday, Starovoit announced the introduction of a distance learning format in 13 schools within a 10-kilometer zone from the border with Ukraine.
