Kursk Governor announced the death of a man as a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

As a result of the shelling of the border village of Guevo, one person from the construction team was killed, another was injured, informed Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit on his Telegram channel.

“In the Sudzhansky district, from the side of Ukraine, a brigade of builders in the village of Guevo was fired upon. Unfortunately, one person from the construction team died,” he wrote.

According to Starovoit, another person was injured, he was taken to the Sudzhansk regional hospital, after which he was transported by air ambulance helicopter to the Kursk regional clinical hospital. The authorities promised to provide the wounded with comprehensive support.

On February 5, Starovoit reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the border village of Gornal in the region. According to the authorities of the region, as a result of the shelling, the power line to the water tower was interrupted, windows were broken in one of the houses, and a car was also damaged. Then there were no casualties.

Since February 4, a “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat has been in effect in the region, which has been extended for an indefinite period. On January 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin lifted the time limit for introducing terrorist threat levels in the Russian Federation. Before the restriction was lifted, it could be set for a period of no more than 15 days, now the decision to introduce a threat level becomes indefinite and is valid until it is canceled.
