KubSU football players became bronze medalists of the National Football League

The women’s team of the Kuban State University won the bronze medals of the National Student Football League. The final stage of the NSFL Higher Division was held in Essentuki from September 30 to October 2. Such a women’s student tournament in the 11 vs 11 format was played for the first time.

The medals of the competition were contested by 4 teams, except for the Kuban State University, these were football players from Krasnoyarsk, Kaliningrad and Minsk.

In the opening match, the Krasnodar team outplayed rivals from the Kaliningrad State Technical University with a score of 1:0. Valentina Golovina’s goal was historic for this tournament.

In the second match, KubSU played a draw with Belarusian State University – 1:1. In the decisive match of the tournament, the Krasnodar team met with the Siberian Federal University. The victory brought any of the teams the championship title. The Krasnoyarsk team turned out to be stronger with a score of 4:0 and scored maximum points in the tournament. The team of KubSU has 4 points left – so much was BSU. The Belarusian team became the second in terms of the best goal difference, the Krasnodar team remained third.

Anna Antidze, a KubSU football player, was recognized as the best striker of the tournament.

On October 6-8, the tournament in the NSFL will resume for the KubSU men’s team. The team of Alexey Gerasimenko in 6 previous matches, held in the spring, scored maximum points. In the next games, she will meet with rivals from Vladikavkaz, Grozny and Kaliningrad.

Krasnodar are currently in third place in the standings. They are ahead of the teams from Simferopol and Moscow, who have played 9 games each.
