Kuban wrestlers won 7 medals at the national championship

At the national championship in Greco-Roman wrestling, representatives of Kuban won 7 awards. The tournament took place in Naro-Fominsk. Over 300 guys from 56 regions of the Russian Federation competed for medals in 10 weight categories. 30 wrestlers from the Krasnodar region tried their hand at the competition.
The best result in the competition was shown by Islam Aliyev from Krasnodar. He took gold in the 82 kilogram weight category. The second place was taken by athletes from Novorossiysk Amayak Osipov (w/c 55 kilograms) and Alexander Golovin (w/c 97 kilograms). Bronze was won by Krasnodar wrestlers Sergey Chigirev (w/c 60 kilograms), Ashot Egizarov (w/c 67 kilograms), Imran Aliev (w/c 72 kilograms) and Aues Gonibov (w/c 87 kilograms).
Earlier, “MK in Kuban” said that Krasnodar athletes won awards at the national championship in jiu-jitsu.
