Kuban sambo wrestlers won eight medals at the Russian Championship

The Russian Sambo Championship ended in Vladivostok. More than 800 of the strongest sambo wrestlers aged 16 to 18 competed for medals.
How reports administration of the Krasnodar region, Kuban athletes won eight medals. Alik Blrtsyan (weight category 58 kg), Eduard Arbuzov (71 kg) and Valeria Kozlova (54 kg) rose to the highest step of the podium. Silver medals went to Temirlan Beslaneev (weight category 64 kg), Tigran Stepanyan (88 kg), Rolan Smirnov (49 kg), Ekaterina Zhdanova (59 kg) and Valeria Nizhegorodova (over 80 kg).
The winners received a ticket to the world championship, and the silver medalists to the continental championship.
Previously “MK in Kuban” wrotethat three gold medals were won by Krasnodar gymnastics at regional competitions.
